Social Science

Report about the activities fulfilled so far:

Our methodology has been the same with all the groups named above: We started explaining what "Market Research" project was about; then we rearrange students asking them to group in three.

The biggest problem has been the maintenance, collaboration and working in groups. That's because:
  •  Students don't attend classes regularly, and all the members of each group are seldom together. 
  •  Moreover, many students finish their subjects at the first of February, because they got their Secondary Degree at this time of the school year.
  • Other students shifted to other groups (that's a chance all of them have available at this time of the year to help them match their studies and professional/family lives)
  • New students are enrolled on 1st February.
Due to all these facts, we had to rearrange the former groups, or even work individually on the project instead.


We've worked on this project since December to February, for 40-50 minutes every week, but I must say our students work hasn't been very effective, because we have to remind them time after time our aims in this project, which is setting up an enterprise. That's because the members of each group talk and make decisions but then they don't seem able to put them into practice. That's a great handicap.

The Information Techonology / "Work and Society" teacher is supporting us, sharing online material of her own in order to search and complete information related to our project.

Informe de  las actividades llevadas a cabo con el alumnado en esta materia hasta el día de hoy.

La metodología de trabajo ha sido la misma en todos los grupos. Comenzamos explicando en que consistía y luego ditrubuyéndose el alumnado en grupos de tres.
El mantenimiento, colaboración y trabajo de los grupos ha sido el mayor inconveniente con que nos hemos encontrado porque la asistencia a clase ha sido y es muy irregular (cuando está un componente del grupo, falta otro), a lo que hay que añadir que a partir del 1 de febrero, comienzo del segundo cuatrimestre,  dejaron de asistir a clase los alumnos que aprobaron 4º de la ESO, otros se cambiaron de grupo y también hubo nuevas incorporaciones. Por todo esto, hemos acordado que este proyecto se puede hacer y presentar en grupo (aquellos que funcionen) o individualmente.
